To my knowledge we have to separate the RR-250 bikes which were raced in championships (Walter Villa) and the 10 bikes which were produced as a special edition for resale as a tribute to the three won championships. |

Only 10 examples of this special edition bike were made by Harley Davidson (pictures below text). This was a tribute bike built to pay homage to Walter Villas 3 world championships on HD 250-RR models. After the wins in 1974-1976, Harley Davidson used the last remaining stocks of Aermacchi built 250 2-stroke 250-RR race engines and asked Nico Bakker to build this unique chassis. With full Campagnola internal disc brakes and trick factory race parts everywhere this was a perfect GP inspired privateer race bike. |
