VINs look like this example: 3D14673H4

• 3D = Z-90
• 14673 = Z- 90 Bike No. 4673 in this year
• H4 = 1974

About the "NEXT FIVE DIGITS":
Most Numbers start with a "1", but some like my own SST-250 start with a "6".
I saw some X-90 models that start with "4" instead of "1" like the most of the bikes.
I am not yet sure what is the reson for that, but we will figure out...

Bikes for european market only:

VINs look like this example: "AERDAV350NE191301DGM10944 OM"

• AERDAV = Aermacchi Harley-Davidson;
• 350 = That is the cubic centimeters of the Engine = 350cc;
• N = Identification of the 350cc 4-Stroke bikes
• NE = Identification of the 350cc 4-Stroke bikes with electric start (73/74 SX/SS 350cc)
• These digits are the Production VIN;
• DGM = Direzione Generale Motorizzazione which is like Department Of Transportation, so DGM is the Italian equivalent of DOT
• These digits are the "omologation" number
• OM = omologation
